To qualify for residency at Bethlehem Village, your income must not exceed the following limits set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):
- The annual income as of May 1, 2026 recognized by HUD as very low for an individual is $42,950 and $49,100 for a couple.
- The annual income as of May 1, 2026 to qualify as extremely low-income is $25,800 for an individual and $29,450 for a couple.
Your monthly rent will be 30% of the families monthly adjusted income, which is based on the following (including but not limited to):
- Social Security
- Pension
- Wages (if presently working)
- Interest on assets
- Deduction for qualified medical expenses
