To qualify for residency at Bethlehem Village, your income must not exceed the following limits set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):

  • The annual income recognized by HUD as very low for an individual is $40,150 and $45,900 for a couple.
  • The annual income to qualify as extremely low-income is $24,100 for an individual and $27,550 for a couple.

Your monthly rent will be 30% of the families monthly adjusted income, which is based on the following (including but not limited to):

  • Social Security
  • Pension
  • Wages (if presently working)
  • Interest on assets
  • Deduction for qualified medical expenses

Your income will be re-evaluated annually to ensure that your rent remains affordable and in compliance with HUD guidelines.

A refundable security deposit is due at lease signing.
